1Who we are
Mirror Jar: Tip Calculator (“Mirror Jar” or “the app”) is published by Easy 8 LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”). This policy explains how the app handles information. It applies to the Mirror Jar app for iPhone and iPad, the Mirror Jar app for Android, and this website.
2Information we collect
We do not collect any personal information through the app. Mirror Jar runs entirely on your device. It does not connect to our servers or to any third-party service, and it does not ask for access to your contacts, location, camera, photos or any other personal data. On Android, the app does not even request permission to use the internet.
Bill amounts, tips and splits you enter are used only to show results on your screen. They are not saved and are not sent anywhere.
3Information stored on your device
To decide when to show the standard “Rate this app” prompt (Apple's on iPhone and iPad, Google Play's on Android), the app keeps a small count of how many tips you have chosen, together with the app version. It also remembers the mood you picked and whether the app icon should follow it. This information:
- is stored only on your device, using the system's standard app settings storage;
- is never sent to us or anyone else;
- contains no amounts or personal details; and
- is deleted automatically when you delete the app.
4Tracking and advertising
Mirror Jar does not track you across apps or websites, does not use the advertising identifier, does not show ads and does not include any advertising, analytics or social-media software. We do not sell or share personal information.
5Information Apple or Google may share with us
If you have chosen in your device settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may provide us with aggregated, anonymous statistics (such as the number of installs) and crash reports. This information does not identify you, and we use it only to improve the app. You can turn this off at any time under Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements → Share With App Developers.
Purchases, downloads, ratings and reviews are handled by Apple through the App Store and are subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
On Android, if you have chosen to share usage and diagnostics data with Google, Google Play may provide us with aggregated statistics (such as the number of installs) and crash reports through the Google Play Console. Downloads, ratings and reviews on Google Play are handled by Google and are subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
Video on this website. The short video on our website is streamed by bunny.net (BunnyWay d.o.o., Slovenia, EU). When you play it, your browser connects to bunny.net, which processes your IP address and basic technical data only to deliver the video. We don't use it to track you, and the app itself never loads this video.
6If you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply to you and to help with your request, and we do not add you to any mailing list. You can ask us to delete your messages at any time.
7Children
Mirror Jar is a general-audience app for ages 13 and up. It is not directed at children and does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country).
8Your choices and rights
Because the app does not collect personal data, there is no personal data held by us to access, correct, export or delete. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have rights regarding personal data; if you have emailed us and want that correspondence deleted, just ask using the contact details below.
9Changes to this policy
If we change how the app handles information, we will update this page and the effective date at the top. If a change is significant, we will also mention it in the app's release notes on the App Store and Google Play.
