Police Lights: Siren & Strobe · Easy 8 LLC · Effective October 26, 2026

The short version

1Who we are

Police Lights: Siren & Strobe (“Police Lights” or “the app”) is published by Easy 8 LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”). This policy explains how the app handles information. It applies to the Police Lights app for iPhone (iOS) and iPad (iPadOS), to the Police Lights app for Android phones, tablets and foldables, and to this website.

2Information we collect

We do not collect any personal information through the app. Police Lights runs entirely on your device. It does not connect to our servers or to any third-party service, and it does not ask for access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone, photos or any other personal data.

The only network activity is the app store's own purchase handling when you view, buy or restore the optional Plus upgrade: Apple's App Store (StoreKit) on iPhone and iPad, and Google Play Billing on Android. That is handled by Apple or Google, as described in section 5. On Android, the Google Play Billing library is the reason the app lists internet access; the app itself sends nothing. Everything else works fully offline.

3Information stored on your device

To remember your preferences between launches, the app saves your settings, such as the chosen light pattern, siren choice, speed, custom colors, light bar size, timer and on/off toggles (for example the flash LED and Gentle mode), and whether you have seen the first-launch notice. This information:

If you use your device's own backup (iCloud Backup on iPhone and iPad, or Google's device backup on Android), these settings can be included in that backup so they come back on a new device. That backup is stored by Apple or Google in your account under their terms; we cannot access it.

4Flash LED and sound

When you turn on the flash LED option, the app switches your device's flashlight on and off in time with the light pattern. This uses the flashlight only. It does not require camera permission on iOS or Android, the camera is never used to take pictures or video, and no images are captured.

Siren sounds are generated on the device as you play them. The app does not record audio and does not use the microphone.

5In-app purchases

Police Lights offers an optional one-time in-app purchase, Plus. On iPhone and iPad, purchases and restores are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store using Apple's StoreKit. On Android, they are processed entirely by Google through Google Play Billing. We do not receive your name, email address, payment details, Apple Account or Google Account information. The app only learns from the store whether Plus is unlocked, so it can turn on those features. Purchases are subject to Apple's Privacy Policy or Google's Privacy Policy.

Google Play may give us order records for Android purchases (such as an order number, date, country and amount) so we can handle refunds and support requests. These records do not include your payment details, and we use them only for that purpose.

6Tracking and advertising

Police Lights does not track you across apps or websites, does not use the advertising identifier, does not show ads and does not include any advertising, analytics or social-media software. We do not sell or share personal information.

7Information Apple and Google may share with us

If you have chosen in your device settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may provide us with aggregated, anonymous statistics (such as the number of installs) and crash reports. This information does not identify you, and we use it only to improve the app. You can turn this off at any time under Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements → Share With App Developers.

On Android, if you have chosen to share usage and diagnostics data with Google, Google may provide us with aggregated, anonymous statistics (such as installs) and crash and performance reports through Google Play Console. This information does not identify you, and we use it only to improve the app. You can change this in your Android or Google Play settings.

Downloads, ratings and reviews are handled by Apple through the App Store and by Google through Google Play, and are subject to Apple's Privacy Policy and Google's Privacy Policy.

8If you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply to you and to help with your request, and we do not add you to any mailing list. You can ask us to delete your messages at any time.

9Children

Police Lights is rated 4+ on the App Store and is suitable for all ages. It is a general-audience app and is not directed specifically at children. It does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). Because the app shows bright, flashing lights and can play loud sounds, we recommend that a parent or guardian helps young children use it, including choosing Gentle mode where appropriate.

10Your choices and rights

Because the app does not collect personal data, there is no personal data held by us to access, correct, export or delete. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have rights regarding personal data; if you have emailed us and want that correspondence deleted, just ask using the contact details below.

11Changes to this policy

If we change how the app handles information, or release the app on other platforms, we will update this page and the effective date at the top. If a change is significant, we will also mention it in the app's release notes on the App Store and Google Play.
